Honda has an exciting surprise in store for us at the close of 2024: the all-new upgraded 2025 Honda Ridgeline. Including the introduction of new powertrain choices. Additionally, substantial upgrades are anticipated for the off-road model. Making it even more capable for off-roading adventures.
Specifications
As we mentioned, the 2025 Honda Ridgeline will get upgrades all across the board. And one of the most noticeable upgrades will happen under the hood. The previous engine, a 3.5-liter V6, will be improved, and now it will deliver 295 horsepower with 282 pound-feet of torque. He will be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The RTL-E represents the pinnacle of this lineup, with the only distinction from the Black Edition being the exterior color options. Standard equipment for the RTL-E includes LED lighting for the truck bed, a 110V outlet, ambient lighting, an enhanced sound system, and a wireless charging pad integrated into the center console. It also boasts a premium navigation system and parking sensors for added convenience.
For those seeking a unique aesthetic, the Black Edition is a special package. It features a black grille, red-accented mirrors, and eye-catching red wheels, complemented by customizable interior lighting. Inside, you’ll find distinctive black seats with red stitching, adding a touch of sporty elegance to the mix.
2025 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid
2025 is a year when Honda will probably add a hybrid powertrain to the Ridgeline. It will be built on Honda’s well-known hybrid architecture. The engine they will use is a turbo gasoline inline-4 engine with a displacement of 2 liters. This engine will be paired with a small electric motor, and in total, it will produce up to 320 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This model will be specially adapted. Starting from the exterior, it will feature a new facia design to lower air resistance so the truck can achieve better gas mileage. Towing and payloading rates will be lowered to 5,000 pounds for towing and 1400 for payload capacity. This is probably because the hybrid model will get a unique suspension that will offer a more comfortable ride than the gasoline variant.
2025 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport
The 2025 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport will get a huge upgrade. And it will offer never-seen offroad capabilities on a ridgeline. This means it will get closer to the RAM 1500 TRX Pro the ultimate mid-size offroad truck that is made for going offroad.
The Ridgeline standard comes with a higher ground clearance. Upgraded offroad suspension and 18-inch all-terrain tires. Also, part of the offroad equipment will be an all-wheel drive with a rear-locking differential. Also, we can’t forget to mention underbody protection and rock sideguards.
The upgrades will not just happen outside of the truck.
We will get a spacious and luxurious cabin with this model. That cabin will feature leather seats with leather upholstery.
The special things that this model will bring will include the newly redesigned TrailSport software. That software will include terrain detection and crawl mode. Also, it will include much more offroad-oriented settings. Speculation suggests that Honda might potentially introduce a twin-turbo V6 engine for this model. However, it’s important to note that these are only rumors, and we’ll need to await the official release date to confirm whether this information holds true or not.
Price and Release Date
Anticipated to make its debut in late 2024, the next generation of the Ridgeline will face tough competition in the mid-size truck market, with a base model starting at $42,000 and a top-tier trim reaching up to $52,000. However, due to its well-curated equipment options, a robust and dependable powertrain, and the inclusion of a hybrid variant, we are optimistic about its potential to achieve strong sales results.
