The Ford Ranger is well known for its rugged nature and good capabilities. Also, it proves to be a reliable mid-size pickup truck. The 2025 Ford Ranger will have all the well-known characteristics of its predecessors but with a new design and a redesigned interior and exterior. 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor
Will be the well-known Ranger model that will offer ultimate offroad performance. With a powerful engine, offroad suspension, and twin locking differentials, we expect to see the best offroad capabilities in its class. Improvements that will boost the Ranger Raptor’s off-road capabilities will not stop here. Also, we will get all-terrain tires, underbody protection, rock guards, and much more. The 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor will have a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine. This powertrain will be able to produce up to nearly 380 horsepower, and it will be paired with the 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Some other interesting specifications are 0–60 in under 8 seconds and combined fuel consumption of around 21 MPG in combined drive.
Also, the software of this model will be adapted for off-road driving, which will include special options to choose drive modes. And it will have physical dials for choosing between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive, in addition to locking differentials.
2025 Ford Ranger Hybrid
In the last few years, a lot of rumors have spread that Ford will offer a Ranger with a hybrid powertrain. And 2025 will probably be a good year for it. because the market is demanding a hybrid truck that can offer good gas mileage. It will come in a PHEV variation with a 2.3-liter Ecoboost engine. That engine will be paired with a small electric motor, and together they will produce 280 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. Also, Ford can decide to offer a more powerful variant with a 3.0 EcoBoost that is paired with electric motors for a combined power of 360 horsepower. The 2025 Ford Ranger Hybrid will offer an impressive gas mileage of 35 MPG in the city. And we expect it to have a 35-mile electric range.
Ford didn’t officially announce the release date and price of this model, but we can speculate that we will see it in Q1 of 2025. The starting price for a base-equipped hybrid model should start at $45,000 in XLT trim. And we expect the price to be $55,000 for top-tier trim with maximum equipment.
2025 Ford Ranger Specifications
A new generation of Rangers, the 2025 model, will come with plenty of engine options. Including hybrid, gasoline, and diesel motors. Some will offer good off-road capabilities, some good towing rates, and some good gas mileage. The base engine will be an I4 eco-boost engine with a displacement of 2.3 liters. This engine will get a small bump in horsepower and will be able to produce up to 290 horsepower with 330 pound-feet of torque. The more powerful engine will be a 2.7-liter V6 engine that will come with 330 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The maximum towing capacity for this model will be 7900 pounds. Across the board, we expect a maximum payload capacity of 1900 pounds thanks to the new stiffer chassis.
The Ford Ranger Raptor will get a 3.0 EcoBoost V6 that will be able to produce 380 horsepower. This model will be more focused on the offroad drive and will offer just 5800 pounds of maximum towing capacity.

All of the powertrains will be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox that will be adapted depending on the engine.
Price and Release date
The release date of the new 2025 Ford Ranger will probably be the end of 2024 or Q1 of 2025. The starting price for base trim XL will start at $36.00 and go up to $48.000 for Lariat mode.
The hybrid will be offered in two trims. In XLT and Lariat. And the ZLT will start at $45,000 and go up to $55,000. For top-tier hybrid trim and the max price, we expect it to hit $54,000 for the Lariat Hybrid version.
The competition for the new Ranger will be the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Toyota Tacoma.
