Ford has ambitious plans to overhaul its heavy-duty truck lineup for the upcoming 2025 model year. The overhaul isn’t limited to just a superficial facelift; rather, it will encompass both the exterior and interior of the vehicles. Anticipate substantial transformations in the cabin, enhancing comfort and functionality. Drawing inspiration from its illustrious predecessors. The 2025 Ford Super Duty promises to deliver exceptional towing and payload capabilities. Staying true to the rugged heritage of this truck series. Whether you opt for the base model or a higher trim. You can count on it being an adept towing machine. Catering to a wide range of tasks and requirements.
This redesign signifies Ford’s commitment to maintaining its dominance in the heavy-duty truck segment. Catering to the demands of businesses and enthusiasts alike. As we await the official unveiling. It’s exciting to contemplate the innovations and improvements Ford has in store for its 2025 Super Duty lineup.
2025 Ford Super Duty Changes
One of the most prominent transformations in the pipeline involves an exterior makeover for the truck. Constituting a mid-generation refresh. This entails a thorough redesign of the front fascia. Encompassing new headlights and a revamped front grille. Furthermore, across all trim levels, we can anticipate substantial updates to standard equipment. Enhancing the overall value of the vehicle.
In terms of the truck’s body, expect improvements aimed at enhancing aerodynamic efficiency. This includes a more aggressive and aesthetically appealing design that not only catches the eye but also helps streamline airflow, potentially improving fuel efficiency. Additionally, there will be some minor but impactful changes, such as a fresh rim design, adding to the truck’s overall visual appeal.
Beyond these exterior and structural enhancements. Ford is set to introduce a range of cutting-edge technology features that promise to revolutionize the driving experience. Some of these innovations will cater to drivers, enhancing their comfort and convenience. While others will focus on advanced trailer control features, potentially simplifying the complexities of towing and ensuring a safer journey. These forthcoming technologies are expected to set new benchmarks in the automotive industry, making the 2025 Ford Super Duty a true game-changer.
The 2025 Ford Super Duty will come in multiple engine combinations. There will be two gasoline and two turbo-diesel engines in total. The Ford F250 will be equipped in base trim with a 6.8-liter v8 that will be able to produce up to 400 horsepower with 445 pound-feet of torque. And the high-displacement engine will be a 7.3-liter V8 with 430 horsepower and 485 pounds of torque. Also, it will come with two turbo-diesel engines. It will be the same 6,7-liter V8 powertrain with a different power output. The base one has 475 horsepower and 1050 pounds of torque. And the more powerful engine that will come with the 2025 Ford Super Duty will be able to produce 500 horsepower and 1200 pounds of torque. Standardly, it will come with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, and all-wheel drive will be the standard for the 2025 model year.
For the F-250, for maximum towing payload capacity, we expect the towing rate to be around 22.000 pounds and the maximum payload rate to be 4500 pounds when this model is properly equipped.
If that is not enough for you, you can buy an F-350, whose maximum towing rate will be rated at an impressive 38.000 pounds and a maximum payload of 7800 pounds.
