After the 2022 model gets a mid-cycle refresh, the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 will introduce a new generation of mid-size pickup trucks. 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Interior and Exterior
Let’s start with the redesign that the new 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 will receive. Previous generations of the Sierra 1500 are well known for their spacious and comfortable interiors with a lot of safety and technology features. Depending on trim level, the new model will also feature an interior ranging from a basic work truck interior to a luxurious interior. For the basic model, we will not see many improvements, but for the higher-end trim, we can expect a bigger infotainment screen. More luxurious leather seats will offer more comfortable and longer rides. Also on top-tier trims, they will offer heating and venting, and the bonus will be a massage function. For the exterior, we expect a huge redesign.
We will start from the front end of the truck. The whole front light group will receive a massive redesign. It will become more futuristic with animated turn signals and big C-shaped headlights. Also, the front grille will be redesigned, and it will follow the design principles of all new modern trucks. The truck will get new premium color options and a new wheel design, and it will have a 22-inch rim on top-tier trims. The body line of the car will also be adapted so it can lower truck air resistance and achieve better MPG.
2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Specifications
There are no official statements from GMC about the new Sierra 1500 specifications. But as we already mentioned, it will keep old engines that will be improved and offer a new powertrain.
The base engine will be a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. That will be able to produce up to 310 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.
Then there will be two V8 engines, the smaller 5.3-liter ones, that will produce 370 horsepower. The most powerful engine that we will see is a 6.2-liter, 420-horsepower diesel powerhouse. All powertrains will be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox that will offer a smooth transition between gears.
The truck will have a bed length that will range from 5.8 inches to 8.2 inches. The expected maximum towing capacity should be in the range of 14,000 pounds. For maximum payload, we expect it to be 2200 pounds.
2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate
The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 will keep the same name as last year’s model for top-tier trim.
Denali Ultimate will be the most luxurious, well-equipped, and technologically advanced model. The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate will come with the most powerful engine, a 6.2-liter gasoline powertrain that will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Also, it can be configured with a 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel for maximum towing duties.
Part of the exterior upgrades will be 22-inch wheels with a unique 7-spoke design. The new chrome grille is the signature of Denali Ultimate. For the 2025 model year, GMC is preparing new premium color options, but we need to wait for the official release date to see them. The interior of Denali Ultimate will be state-of-the-art. We will start with leather seats that will offer never-seen-before comfort and lumbar support. They will come in multiple color options for the 2025 model year. Also, we need to mention the new 13-inch driver information screen and a new touch screen that will come in the size of 14 inches and he will be in charge of the info-entertainment screen.
Price and Release Date
The price and release date of the new 2025 Sierra 1500 are not yet officially released, but we hope we will see it before the end of 2024. The starting price for the base model and trim named PRO will start at $47.000 and go up to $97.000 for the top-tier Denali Ultimate model. One more interesting model is the offroad-oriented AT4x, and it will start at $85.000.
