The upcoming 2024 RAM 1500 EV has been teased, and it looks significantly more attractive than the current generation. As you probably know, the manufacturer last year announced that the new RAM would be electrified next year, featuring a completely different design language than the current generation.
The market for electrifying cars is growing every year and even heavyweights like GM and Ford are going to release all-out on battery-electric trucks. The first thoughts are positive, and the rendered model is wearing an illuminated ‘RAM’ logo sitting where the traditional grille is present on the regular model. Also, the manufacturer added a new twin bar DRLs help frame the LED headlamps, and a contrasting hourglass graphic to the lower bumper.
2024 RAM 1500 EV First Look
On the cosmetic front, the 2024 RAM 1500 EV looks completely different than the current non-EV truck variant. Thanks to new renderings, we have a closer look at the upcoming truck. First of all, the design language is much more aggressive, and the RAM 1500 EV features an illuminated ‘RAM’ logo, LED headlamps, and a contrasting hourglass graphic.
Besides attractive front end, the new truck also offers equally futuristic rear. It features attractive full-width LED taillamps and illuminated RAM lettering in red.
Cabin Rumors
Inside, the 2024 RAM 1500 EV should look spacious and comfortable. While little is known about the interior, we expect to see quality materials and technologies that we saw on the current 1500 Laramie and Jeep Grand Wagoneer models. Hopefully, there should be enough room inside to fit five passengers.
Everything inside exudes a futuristic aesthetic, and you can count on more standard equipment. As far as we know, the manufacturer will add a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, heads-up display, and over-the-air updates. There is also a rumor that the RAM 1500 EV will come with a Level 2+ semi-autonomous driving.
2024 RAM 1500 EV Motor Specs, Battery Capacity, Range
The 2024 RAM 1500 EV is underpinning Stellantis Frame architecture that’s also available on some of trucks and SUVs. The body-on-frame platform is sturdy and is large enough to accommodate battery capacity ranging from 159 kWh to 200 kWh. It also supports 800 Volt EV architecture and DC fast charging.
The 1500 EV from some unofficial report will be available with an electric motor that should produce output ranging from 201 hp (150 kW) to 443 hp (330 kW). Power should be routed to either the rear or all four wheels. Those wanting higher performance could also offer an 885 hp (660 kW) dual-motor variant as well.
2024 RAM 1500 EV Price, Release Date
At this point, there is no information regarding the price and release of the upcoming RAM 1500 EV. The manufacturer stated recently that the next generation RAM 1500 would be all-electric to keep up with the most popular nameplates, the Silverado EV and F-150 Lightning. An official reveal will happen within the next year as a 2024 year entrant.
