The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is the new kid on the block, so get ready for it. As far as we know, the latest Ridgeline is getting a new look, and a cabin interior upgrade. This means that the comfort and technology will be better. No longer just for work, pickups have become a fashion statement.
Under the hood is where we hope to find some surprises, and probably some sort of electrification. Let’s take a look at the newest Honda Ridgeline, which was also rendered a few days ago.
2024 Honda Ridgeline Redesign
First and foremost, we don’t think much will change outside. The new 2024 Honda Ridgeline will continue to have a strong and tough look. At the front, it will have a light fascia with an air intake to keep the engine cool. Obviously, this would be taken out if it was an electric type. Instead, we’d get more room to store things. Anyway, just like before, we expect the new model to ride on 19-inch aluminum wheels to keep the weight down.
It is noteworthy that the normal length of a cargo bed is 5.5 feet, while the ride height is more than 8 inches. So, nothing will be able to get under you easily. The headlights are now straight and use the latest LED technology.
Interior Enhancements
On the inside, we hope there will be more places to sit compared to before. The new 2024 Honda Ridgeline should have more padding and better support for the lower back. Because the materials were easy to shred, leather and cloth of better quality were a must. Stitching with different colors would only make it look better. The entertainment system will be updated, and we expect at least 13 inches. So, even the people sitting in the back can join in the fun. There are plenty of safety features that come as standard. You get automatic braking and a warning if you leave your lane, among other things.
Details About the Engine
The current model uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine that has 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, there is more than enough power for a pickup truck of medium size. This model has an automatic transmission with 10 speeds. A 2.0-liter turbo-four engine will also be a choice. It has less horsepower, but it gets better gas mileage. This is important for a lot of people. It’s not strange that there are rumors about hybrids. Honda was long overdue to get into the hybrid market. Word on the street is that the same 3.5-liter V6 engine will be paired with a single electric motor. About 300 horsepower and more than 300 pound-feet of torque could come from this engine.
This one probably has an automatic transmission with nine gears. You can choose to have all-wheel drive, but front-wheel drive is what comes standard. It would also make sense to turn the pickup into an all-electric car. The platform would have to be changed, though. But there are already other proven platforms on the market that Honda could just use. To meet the V6 requirements, a battery pack with about 100 kWh would be enough. If they went to 150 kWh, they would have more power and a longer range than many mid-size trucks.
How Much Will the 2024 Honda Ridgeline Cost?
The pickup should be on the road by the end of 2023. The base price of a 2024 Honda Ridgeline with the standard trim will be around $40,000. However, a model that is completely electric might cost $50,000.
