2023 Honda Ridgeline: Rumors, Release Date, Engine Changes

Reportedly, the new 2023 Honda Ridgeline is in the works and it should be redesigned from nose to bed. This pickup is one of the most recognized on the roads, thanks to its contemporary style. According to the news, the forthcoming model will get a revised body and a more modern interior.

Besides, we also expect to see the same proven engine that currently powers the last year’s model. So, the new pickup will be powered by the 3.5-liter V6 engine, which produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, this model is carryover, and in the engine department, we don’t expect any changes at all.

2023 Honda Ridgeline Exterior

Starting with the overall styling, the latest 2023 Honda Ridgeline will not depart too much from its predecessor. Talking in general, this model looks modern, more compact, and much more reliable. Honda revised Ridgeline’s exterior last year, and because of that, this model is still relevantly fresh. First of all, the front grille has been upgraded, and a new metal-finished cross member sits atop the front grille on the hood.

Besides, the current model also comes with a new bumper, fenders, and newly shaped headlights.
Moreover, the design is more eye-catching, which is excellent. Approaching the rear of Ridgeline, we didn’t notice any significant upgrades except for the bumper. The Type R model should also arrive, featuring a more aggressive approach than the regular one.

Cabin Upgrades

Besides the exterior, we also presume the new 2023 Honda Ridgeline to undergo some changes inside. However, we don’t expect significant changes as we saw on the latest Ram 1500, but the cabin should remain modern and comfortable. So, the new Ridgeline will probably host the same dashboard design, but with much better materials and seating surfaces.

Like the previous generation, the seating layout will allow five passengers to fit comfortably. Talking in general, the Honda Ridgeline is one of the most advanced models in the class. It features an 8-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, tri-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel.

2023 Honda Ridgeline Powertrain Specs

Under the hood, the 2023 Honda Ridgeline remains untouched. This model is powered by the familiar 3.5-liter V6 coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain is capable of making 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, but it doesn’t have the absolute hauling and towing capability like the models’ Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Ram 1500.

The Honda Ridgeline towing capacity starts at 3,500 pounds and can go to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. Also, all trims would come with standard FWD or AWD as optional.

Release Date and Price

The release date of the 2023 Honda Ridgeline will happen sometime next year. It’s a huge possibility that this truck will be introduced at the beginning of the following year, while sales might starts soon after. As we said, the new pickup will receive some minor updates, and it will mostly come as a carryover model.

Long story short, Honda is one of the most famous companies globally, so expect an outstanding pickup truck that will be more competitive than ever. Price is not yet available, but we cannot wait to see a real battle for the throne in the mid-size pickup segment.
