The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid is expected to hit the market next year. From information that’s available, the upcoming truck will use a new TNGA GA-F architecture with a more sophisticated coil-spring rear suspension. Likewise, we also heard that it will get a powertrain upgrade, meaning that we can expect the improved V6 engine with an available hybrid version.
Many believe that the Toyota Tacoma Hybrid will get the same treatment as the recently introduced Tundra pickup. In case you missed it, the Tundra is now available with the new i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that generates an electrifying 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Exterior
The latest spy shots give potential customers a taste of what the company is cooking up for the future 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid. As far as we can see, the new truck looks more attractive than before, and it is proportionally bigger. It is because it rides on the new TNGA GA-F architecture, the same as the latest Tundra.
The photos also reveal a new front fascia, which includes a more stylish grille, a new pair of headlights, and bigger fenders. We also saw a new set of wheels that are wrapped in all-terrain tires.
Interior with Higher-Quality Items
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid will also introduce a brand-new interior design. Unlike the basic model, the hybrid one will come with higher-quality items that will replace hard plastics and other cheap materials. In general, we’re expecting to see leather upholstery and wood trim as standard. Like the Tundra pickup, the upcoming Tacoma will also benefit from upgraded tech.
It will likely replace the current 8.0-inch touchscreens with a larger unit, and expect wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a new digital gauge cluster, head-up display, and a premium audio system too.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Spec
Some rumors suggest that the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid will probably borrow the same system from the Toyota Tundra truck. This means we can expect it to use a new i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that generates an output of 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. Toyota hasn’t released EPA estimates yet, but we expect at least 75-mph highway fuel economy.
However, we don’t know yet if the manufacturer has plans to continue with the standard 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 159 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, this engine is a little underpowered. Toyota has also offered, so far, an optional 3.5-liter V6 that produces 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Price, Release Date
At the moment, Toyota didn’t share any information regarding the Tacoma Hybrid truck. As far as we know, the new model will probably share many features with the latest Tundra, including a new TNGA GA-F architecture. The new images indicate that the Tacoma will use the same coil-spring suspension setup as the Tundra.
So, we presume that it will cost around $35,000 for the base model. The sales of the new hybrid truck should start sometime next year, probably in the second half.
