The redesigned 2024 Toyota Tundra full-size pickup will reportedly hit markets sometime next year. After fourteen years of selling, the new truck will continue its journey either as an extended or crew cab. This Texas-made truck besides more attractive design will also introduce a new interior, which is followed by a new infotainment screen that measures 14.0-inches. Last year’s redesign brought a new coil-spring rear suspension, which gives this truck a more comfortable ride.

Unfortunately, the Tundra is the only full-size pickup in the half-ton segment that doesn’t have an optional V8 engine. Anyway, it continues to use the same twin-turbo V-6 with three different potencies. There are also rumors that Toyota might introduce the all-electric variant as well.

Is Toyota Coming Out with a New Tundra?

On the outside, the all-new 2024 Toyota Tundra boasts a more upright design compared to its predecessor. The next-generation pickup is also available with a new SX Package, which can be only selected with SR5 models. From the information that’s available, the package will make Tundra look bolder thanks to Dark Gray Metallic 18-inch wheels and black trim.

Along with this trim, buyers can choose some of the upper ones like TRD Pro Hybrid or even the most expensive Capstone Hybrid version.

More Quality Inside

Inside, the 2024 Toyota Tundra offers a chunky cabin that has bought a room for up to five passengers. Compared to the outgoing variant, the new one looks way nicer. The quality will increase depending on trim level trim levels. All models have a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, while an 8.0-inch touchscreen is also standard.

However, the infotainment display can be upgraded with a horizontally oriented 14.0-inch touchscreen, which looks awesome. Other features that are standard as well include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot.

2024 Toyota Tundra Engine Specs

The new 2024 Toyota Tundra, just like the outgoing one, will come with the same solo engine setup. Under the hood is a proven twin-turbo V-6 that’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine is offered with three different potencies. The SR trim, which is the base one develops 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, while the other ones produce 389 horses and 479 pound-feet. The hybrid version of the mentioned V6 engine is available as well, and it features an electric motor integrated into the transmission.

The combination generates 437 horses and 583 pound-feet. According to Toyota, the hybrid model can run from zero-to-60-mph time in just 5.7 seconds. The Tundra is capable of towing around 12,000 pounds and it also has a maximum payload capacity of 1940 pounds. We’re also expecting an all-electric variant to debut sometime next year as well.

How Much Will the New 2024 Toyota Tundra Cost?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is one of the rarest pickup trucks in the segment that comes with 10 different trim levels. All starts from the base SR trim that cost $37,000, and it ended up with the Capstone Hybrid model, which starts at $76,000.

Between, buyers can also get a Tundra Pro Hybrid model for around $69,000. As you may notice, the new Tundra has a higher starting price than its domestic rivals. The full-size pickup will go reportedly on sale sometime next year.
