Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automotive companies, has announced its plan to enter the highly competitive electric pickup market. With the upcoming launch of the 2024 RAM 1500 Revolution next year. The new model will be a fully electric pickup truck, and it will be a direct competitor to other electric trucks. Such as the Ford 150 Lighting and the Rivian R1T. Despite the relatively late entry of the RAM 1500 Revolution into the market, it is expected to offer a lot to potential buyers. The electric truck will be built on an 800-volt architecture with an STLA body on the frame platform. It will feature a 2-motor setup that can produce around 660 horsepower.
The unique interior and exterior design of the RAM 1500 Revolution will be a standout feature, with many modern and futuristic touches. One of its many impressive features is its towing and payload capacity, with an impressive range of up to 500 miles. And the ability for fast charging, meaning it will be able to charge in just 10 minutes for 100 miles of range. Though it remains to be seen if the RAM 1500 Revolution electric pickup will be considered late, it is a positive indication of the growing market for electric trucks and signals a promising future for the automobile industry.
2024 Ram 1500 REVOLUTION Specifications
As we already mentioned, the 2024 RAM 1500 Revolution will be based on the STLA body on the frame platform. It will come with two battery options. The battery with lower specifications will be 169 kWh. It will be able to tow more because it will be lighter. The high-capacity battery will be 230 kWh. Stellantis, promise us that a high-capacity battery should be able to provide 500 miles of range. Both batteries will come with an option for fast charging.
For powering this truck, two motors will be in charge. They will be able to produce up to 650 horsepower combined with nearly 700 pound-feet of torque. The truck will be able to tow an impressive 14000 pounds, and its payload capacity will also be a respectable 2500 pounds.
The upcoming 2024 RAM 1500 REV will be available with an all-wheel drive. More of the noticeable specifications will include a 0–60 mph time of just 4.5 seconds.
2024 Ram 1500 REV Trim Levels
The 2024 RAM 1500 Revolution will be available in seven trim levels.
The base trim level will be a Tradesman. Followed by Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, Limited, and a new top-tier trim named Tungsten. Stellantis didn’t say much about their equipment or starting price, but we can guess that the starting price for Tradesman should start at $55.000 and go up to $90.000 for Tungsten. Also, regarding the equipment, we don’t doubt that base trim levels will focus more on configuring the RAM 1500 Rev for working conditions. And top trims will focus on luxury and additional features. The only thing we know for sure is that even as base equipment, the RAM 1500 Revolution will come well-equipped. With a lot of safety and luxurious features.
Exterior and Interior
The upcoming RAM 1500 Revolution will feature a unique style. That style will be dominated by sharp lines. Futuristic design with a lot of LED lights around the truck. The front of the UTE will be dominated by RAM, a LED logo, and unique headlights. Also, the rear side will have a RAM logo, but this time in red. The whole idea behind the design of the new RAM 1500 Revolution will be to lower air coefficiency so it can reduce drag and give better mileage to the truck.
The interior of the truck will also be designed in a futuristic manner. The first thing we noticed when we entered the truck was his infotainment system. On the center console, we find two big 14-inch touchscreens. We automatically notice improved software with the next graphic and a lot of options. Also included in the standard equipment will be a unique sunroof. We can’t forget to mention ambient lighting all around the truck interior. Connectivity will also be at the top level. And that will include wired and wireless connections to the truck software. Also, there will be a lot of options for charging. We will mention some of them, and those will be standard USB ports, USB C ports, and a charging pad on the center console. Also, there will be 110-volt outlets inside and outside the truck.
2024 Ram 1500 REVOLUTION Price and Release Date
We expect the 2024 RAM 1500 Revolution to hit dealerships in Q2 of 2024.
With a starting price of $55.000 and going up to $90.000 for a top-tier trim. With this pricing, it will be a direct competitor for the Ford F150 Lighting, Rivian R1T, Tesla Cybertruck, Hummer EV, and all full-sized trucks on the market.
