The concept images of the upcoming 2024 Nissan Frontier are available, and it seems that the new truck is getting a serious upgrade. Nissan’s flagship truck looks more attractive than before, and it is outfitted with a unique gloss-black grille surround, special 4×4 graphics, and a bed-mounted full-size spare tire.
Besides standard Frontier, the manufacturer also releases a couple of images of the Project Adventure concept, which is based on the PRO-4X trim. Unlike the base one, the Adventure model comes with plenty of camping accessories, and it wears a custom carbon-fiber snorkel.
2024 Nissan Frontier Design
The design language of the new 2024 Nissan Frontier is more rugged. From the first concept images, we notice that Nissan’s flagship truck is outfitted with an attractive gloss-black grille surround and a bed that’s mounted full-size spare tire.
We also have a look at the Project Adventure concept, which will be reportedly based on the PRO-4X trim. The Adventure model looks even more rugged than the base one, featuring plenty of camping accessories. It also comes with a unique carbon-fiber snorkel.
Interior Upgrades
Just like the exterior, the interior of the upcoming 2024 Nissan Frontier will be modern and comfortable. There are a ton of new features compared to the previous generation. Specifically, the center console holds a large 9-inch touchscreen offering standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Basically, the Frontier has plenty of options. The Pro-X, Pro-4X, and SV models are the most favorite trims offering two 400-watt outlets one in the rear, and one in the bed.
Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 comes standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking.
2024 Nissan Frontier Engine Options
Just like the previous generation, the new 2024 Nissan Frontier will use the same engine. So, a reliable aluminum-block 3.8-liter V6 powertrain will power it, delivering 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
As for fuel economy, just as in the case with the current model, we’re expecting to see the same EPA city/highway fuel economy: 18/24 mpg (2WD), 17/22 mpg (4WD). Interestingly, we heard many rumors about a new engine but since the platform won’t change, we’re not expecting any sort of hybrid or all-electric variants anytime soon.
How Much Will the 2024 Nissan Frontier Cost?
Pricing of the current Nissan Frontier starts at $28,340 for the 4×2 King Cab. So, considering many upgrades and changes, you can count on a slight increase with the new one. It is also worth mentioning that the 4×2 Crew Cab starts at $29,600, while the Pro-X Crew Cab is $34,770.
The top-of-the-line Pro-4X Crew Cab model, which brings skidplates, and an electronic locking rear differential, starts at $37,800. For comparison, in the same pricing line are trucks such as the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger, GMC Canyon, and Toyota Tacoma. However, neither of them can exceed the Frontier’s standard 310 horsepower. According to many reports, the sales of the 2024 Nissan Frontier should start in the second half of next year.
