Rumors are circulating about Cadillac developing a pickup truck for release at the end of 2024. Because of this, it is believed that Lincoln may also be working on a luxury pickup truck. Sources suggest that this vehicle will likely be built on the Navigator chassis but with 2 rows of seating instead of 3 and a bed at the back of the truck. It is expected that this upcoming pickup will come with multiple engine options. That should include a naturally aspirated V8, a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and a hybrid variant. This truck is said to offer decent towing and payload capacities, along with some off-road capabilities. On top of its performance specs, this vehicle should also be crafted with luxurious interior materials and equipped with various safety features.
If rumors are true, it will be the only full-size truck in Lincoln’s lineup. But this is not the only one in their history. In 2002, Lincoln introduced the Blackwood, but it was discounted because of low sales figures in 2004. Lincoln tried again in 2006 with Mark LT, but it was also discounted in 2008 for the same reason as Blackwood. So if Cadilac introduces its own luxurious pickup, Lincoln will probably follow with Navigator Pickup.
2024 Lincoln Navigator Pickup Specifications
The 2024 Lincoln Navigator Pickup, as we mentioned before, should come with multiple powertrain options. Since it will be based on the Navigator SUV, it should have the same engine. It will be a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that can produce 450 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. It will come with rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive will be reserved for the top two trims. Towing capacity should be around 9,000 pounds. And we expect it to be able to carry up to 1500 pounds.
As the fuel consumption, we don’t expect to see baby changes. It should stay similar to its SUV cousin, with nearly the same engine and weight. We expect the Navigator Pickup to have 17 mpg in the city and around 23 mpg on the highway. For the acceleration, we also going to see similar numbers. And that will be around 5 seconds.
Luxury Interior
There will be no big changes inside. The biggest difference will be in the number of seating positions. The pickup version of the Navigator will just come with two rows of seating instead of three. So Navigator Pickup will keep its well-known luxurious interior with plenty of luxurious and safety features. Some of them are A 14-speaker system made by Revel on standard models and a 28-speaker system on top trim. A 14-inch touch-screen display with a charging pad on the center console.
It will have plenty of connectivity options. Some of them will be wireless, like Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and there will also be plenty of wired connections. The interior will also be comfortable, with a lot of space for the legs and heads of the passengers. This promises comfortable, long rides. Also, one thing worth mentioning is the upgraded Lincoln infotainment system. This will include plenty of options for climate control, 360° camera Active Glyde, trailer control, and much more.
Models
The 2024 Lincoln Navigator Pickup will come in two variants and five trim levels. Two model variants will have short and long beds. And for the trim levels, there will be a base model called Standard.
Standard will offer Just rear-wheel drive, a basic 14-speaker sound system, 20-inch alloy wheels, 12V fast charging, a 110V outlet outside, and a power liftgate. Next in line is the Reserve Option Package. It will also come with just rear-wheel drive. But it will come with bigger wheels, and those will include 22-inch premium alloy wheels. Also, there will be premium color options available for this trim. It will come with upgraded seats for a more comfortable ride and a few other small changes.
Reserve L will be a long version of Reserve Trim. It will come with a longer bed. Additional 110V outlet. Optional bad cover Black Label and Black Label L are two top-tier option packages.
They will have all-wheel drive. Also, a 22-inch, 14-spoke black wheel, the black exterior of the truck, including the front grille Powered electric roof. Premium metal paint options Upgraded sound system.
2024 Lincoln Navigator Pickup Price and Release Date
We expect to see the Lincoln Navigator Pickup in Q4 of 2023 or Q1 of 2024. With a starting price of around $95.000, it will not be a cheap truck, but with a powerful engine, luxurious interior, and well-known robust-looking exterior, we are sure it will justify its price. For the Black Label trim, we expect the price to go up to $120.000.
