The 2024 Cadillac Escalade XT is one of the most anticipated electric pickups in the industry. The Cadillac Escalade was always a symbol of luxury and style, and the EXT EV version is here to answer the needs of the modern driver. The market is in constant need of a more luxurious pickup truck that is capable of towing and transporting passengers to long destinations and can also be used as a working truck.
Previously, Cadillac discounted the Escalade Ext because of low sales figures, but with changes to the 2024 model and a new electric powertrain, we hope to see better sales.
This upcoming Escalade EXT EV is expected to be based on the Ultium platform, and it should be able to deliver some impressive performance. We hope that with the complete re-design of the exterior and interior of this truck, it will be able to find buyers in the crowded market of electric trucks.
2024 Cadillac Escalade EXT EV Specifications
The 2024 Cadillac Escalade EXT EV should come with two powertrain variants that will depend on trim level. The base engine option will be a dual-motor setup that will produce up to 650 horsepower. The second option will be an electric motor setup that will include a 3-motor, and it will be able to produce around 1000 horsepower. With a top-tier powertrain setup, this full-size truck will go from 0 to 60 mph in a little less than 3 seconds. It is likely that the truck will be driven on an all-wheel drive system, with a 10-speed automatic transmission taking care of gear shifting. Also, the upcoming Escalade EXT EV will boost impressive towing and hauling capacity. For the maximum towing rate, we expect it to be in the range of 8000 pounds with a hauling capacity of around 1500 pounds.
One of the most important things about electric vehicles is their range. The 2024 Cadillac Escalade EXT EV should come with multiple battery options, and it will include a flagship 350 KW battery. GM claims that this battery has a range of up to 400 miles and can offer 100 miles of range for charging in just 15 minutes.
It is expected that the truck will come with air suspension as a standard feature that will guarantee a comfortable ride. Also, it will allow this luxurious truck to go on off-road terrain unnoticeably.
2024 Cadillac Escalade EXT EV Interior and Exterior
This luxurious truck should come in three different trim levels. The starting trim level will be called Base Trim, and it will be followed by Luxury and Premium trim levels. There are rumors about more trim levels, but we need to wait for GM to introduce the truck and see if the rumors are true or not. But we don’t doubt that the interior of the new Escalade Ext EV will be luxurious and modern, with a lot of safety features. We will name some of the technology and safety features we expect to see. There is no doubt that the truck will come with a huge touch screen as an infotainment system.
We expect to see at least a 15-inch touchscreen on the central console paired with a 12-inch digital driver’s gauge. Also, we expect to see a powerful speaker setup. Comfort will not lack for sure, and we can expect just luxurious and premium materials inside the cabin. For safety features, the truck should be equipped with adaptive cruise control, a heads-up display, a blind spot camera, a 360° camera, emergency braking, and much more. For luxurious features, we expect to see an automatic liftgate, heated and vented front seats with 12-way power adjustment, heated side mirrors, plenty of USB ports with a charging pad, and 110V power outlets.
The exterior of the truck will be totally different from its gas-powered cousin. Because of aerodynamics, the whole front fascia of the truck has been redesigned. It will gain a more aggressive look with a sloping lower hood, which will additionally reduce the drag of the whole truck. Also, the whole body line of the car follows the same method, and it’s less boxy with a more futuristic look. The headlight and taillight also receive a uniquely modern appearance that follows the whole new styling of the truck.
Price and Release Date
It is expected for the upcoming 2024 Cadillac Escalade EXT EV to hit the market somewhere at the end of 2023. But there is no official statement from GM at this moment, so it is all based on rumors. The starting price for a base trim should be around $80.000 and go up to $115.00 for a premium trim with a top-tier powertrain and battery setup.
The competition for this luxurious truck will be fierce, and it will include the Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, and GMC Hummer EV.
