The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually prototype has been spied testing recently on public roads, giving us an early look at what’s refreshed. First of all, the spied model employs a Crew Cab / Long Bed body style, with Dual Rear Wheels. Unfortunately, it is covered in heavy camouflage, which does not allow us to see all the changes.
However, we managed to see some upgrades including the revised styling up front and the rear. Nevertheless, there are a few details we also pick up with our eyes, such as the broad horizontal slats on the front grille, as well as revisions for the forward-facing lighting.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually Facelift
The new spy shots are available, and the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually looks refreshed. At first glance, this truck is proportionally the same as the original one. The spied truck wears a heavy camouflage, but we saw revised styling up front and in the rear. Also, the broad horizontal slats are visible on the front grille, giving this truck a more aggressive look.
Forward-facing lightings are new as well, and they look similar to the Sierra HD. The rear end is also obscured, and we notice some rear styling update. It features new rear fenders, the tailgate, and the taillights.
Comfortable Cabin
As the other Silverado HD variants, the new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD will offer the same comfortable cabin. As a crew cab, this truck comes with expansive rear legroom of 43.3 inches. On the technology side, the Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD includes a 7-inch color infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, two USB ports, Bluetooth for two devices, AM/FM radio, and a 6-speaker audio setup.
Safety is much better than before, and the 3500HD features front/side/head-curtain airbags, trailer sway control, and a programmable Teen Driver key.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually Engine Setup
Unlike the previous generation, the new Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually should deliver more power. As the recently refreshed Sierra HD models, we expect the new Silverado 3500HD to use the same engine. This model uses a Duramax diesel engine, which develops nearly 1,100 pound-feet of torque.
Also, it should deliver at least 500 horsepower. As you can see, that’s a major boost over the current model that uses a 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax, which makes 910 pound-feet of torque and 445 horsepower.
How Much Is the New 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually?
The forthcoming 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually is a work truck that cost a little more than $40,000. However, the more loaded Hight Country, which is also the most expensive starts at $66,000. The Ford F-Series Super Duty and Ram HD are in the same ballpark as well.
As a reminder, the Silverado HD was originally slated for this year, but due to complications stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing microchip shortage, this pickup truck was delayed foe the next year as 2024YM. Stay tuned with us because we are expecting more news shortly.
