Based on news, the 2023 Ford Maverick orders will be open on August 16th, 2022. We also got information that this truck would start production in Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant on October 24th. As before, the forthcoming 2023 Ford Maverick will be sold with a choice of two powertrains.
The current base model is using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system producing up to 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft. Besides, the manufacture also offers a more powerful 2.0-liter EcoBoost rated at 250 hp and 277 lb-ft. We also expect an electric variant to come out in the near future as well.
2023 Ford Maverick Exterior
Like the first generation, the new 2023 Ford Maverick will look compact and attractive. The first renderings have been released, and it seems the next Maverick will host the same front fascia as the Ford F-150 Lightning. It features a black mesh grille, and there are unique LED headlights. However, the boxy appearance remains, and it seems that the new truck is continuing to ride on the same unibody construction.
Aside, the ride height of the Maverick is lower than on some body-on-frame trucks. There’s up to 8.6 inches of ground clearance. We recommended jumping for the FX4, which offers a unique 17-inch aluminum wheel. On the back, this truck should be available with a new LED taillights compared to the current one that uses a halogen light. The tailgate design remains with “Maverick” embossed in the lower portion.
Functional and Eye-Catching Interior
Inside, the 2023 Ford Maverick is both functional and eye-catching. The entry-level model is available with cloth seats and 2-tone rugged material with orange stitching. There are also attractive colors that matched the accents on the door and air vents. As before, the Maverick offers plenty of room inside as well, and it can accommodate five passengers.
For 2023, the manufacture will also update the 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, as a standard, expect FordPass Connect with an embedded modem and Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices.
2023 Ford Maverick Engine Specs
Under the hood, the 2023 Ford Maverick is available with two powertrains choice. The entry-level model is using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system that’s capable of producing up to 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft. This engine is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
Blue Oval also offers a more potent 2.0-liter EcoBoost rated at 250 hp and 277 lb-ft, which uses an eight-speed automated transmission. Thanks to its turbo setup, the Maverick with 2.0-liter engine can tow up to 4000 pounds. However, choosing the hybrid model, you can only get 2000 pounds. Besides mentioned engines, there is also rumors that at some point, the manufacturer might introduce electric variant as well.
2023 Ford Maverick Release Date, Price
