The refreshed version of the 2023 Ford F-450 will receive the same treatment as the half-ton pickup trucks. If you didn’t know, the F Series Super Duty range from the F-250 to the F-450 trucks, and each of them is made to handle tough towing demands, massive payloads, and untamed terrain.
Interestingly, there are many heavy-duty competitors available on the market like Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD, and Ram HD, but the Super Duty is undoubtedly the champion. This truck is able to pull a maximum of 37,000 pounds when equipped appropriately. On top of all that, the new F-450 offers a very plush cabin filled with no less technology compared to the lighter sibling.
2023 Ford F-450 Exterior
The forthcoming 2023 Ford F-450 will receive some upgrades and changes. For 2023, the manufacturer will make this truck more handsome like the lighter sibling F-150. So, the new F-450 will come with a more angled shape, sharply cut grille, and headlights that are revised.
The most exciting news is that this model will include as standard tailgate step, LED lighting, storable loading ramps, power-retractable running boards, and a remote-operated power-locking tailgate. Moreover, the F-450 separates from the rest of the F models thanks to its wider front track, complementing standard-issue dual-rear-wheel setup.
Cabin Improvements
The new 2023 Ford F-450 will, as its predecessor, offer a roomy cabin and great comfort. Of course, you can count on more luxury in the upper trims. For example, there will be an option to upgrade this truck with heated, cooled and massaging front seats.
On top of that, with the new variant, the manufacturer will introduce an updated Sync 4 system, with a more user-friendly infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay. We also expect Wi-Fi, with connections for up to 10 devices, a few USB Type-C ports, and more amenities than before.
Engine Specs
Under the hood, the 2023 Ford F-450 is available with a few engine options. The base engine is perfectly adequate thanks to a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 producing 385 horsepower along with 430 lb.-ft of torque. This engine sends power through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Along, the manufacturer continues to offer the last-year unit 7.3-liter V8, developing 430 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft of torque. Unlike the standard variant, this one comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The last and the most favorite option is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel V8 that develops 1,050 lb.-ft of torque, which is 125 more than the previous-gen engine. This one also uses a 10-speed automatic with Rear-wheel drive (RWD) as the default configuration. Some upper trims include 4-wheel drive (4WD) as standard, but otherwise, it’s optional.
