The upcoming 2023 Chevy Montana pickup truck has been spied recently riding on a new unibody chassis. If you didn’t know, the same chassis is also used on the Ford Maverick, Hyundai Santa Cruz, and Honda Ridgeline. According to information that we got, the new truck will be available only in the South American market.
At this moment, there are only two spy shots available of the forthcoming truck, showing a very sleeker appearance. Also, it seems that the next generation of Montana appears to be larger than the current generation. From information that we got, it could measure around 15.4 feet (4.7 meters). For comparison, the newest Santa Cruz is 16.3 feet (4.97 meters) long.
2023 Chevy Montana Spy Shots Review
The new 2023 Chevy Montana has finally been spied testing on the public road wearing a wrap with a swirly pattern and fabric covers. However, we managed to see some changes, and it seems that the new Montana looks quite larger than its predecessor. It’s around 15.4 feet (4.7 meters) long, which is similar to the Santa Cruz’s proportions of 16.3 feet (4.97 meters).
A notable design upgrades are visible, and the Montana comes with the C-pillar angles toward the rear of the vehicle, providing a sleeker appearance. The rear window looks similar as we saw on the Santa Cruz model. Overall, we should allegedly expect more images of the new truck in the coming months.
Interior Rumors
The 2023 Chevy Montana is a small truck that will offer great comfort for five passengers. However, considering that it will only be available in the South American market, don’t expect premium materials at all.
Reportedly, the new truck will offer a basic list of standard features. This includes an 8-inch infotainment screen, while higher trim levels would have wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Buyers would also be able to get many safety features optionally like blind-spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking. Some reports noted that the new Montana would be larger than the current generation, so we assume a more spacious cabin as well.
2023 Chevy Montana Engine Specs
Under the hood, 2023 Chevy Montana will probably arrive with a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine offering 164 hp (122 kW) and 177 pound-feet (239 Newton-meters) of torque. In our opinion, this engine is not so strong for this chassis. Anyway, if you didn’t know, the same engine is available in the Chinese-market variant of the Tracker.
Unfortunately, there is not much information if there could be other options. More than likely, the manufacturer will connect a proven six-speed automatic transmission with the mentioned engine.
2023 Chevy Montana Release Date, Price
The new 2023 Chevy Montana will reportedly debut later this year, and we can expect pre-sales to begin before 2023. Unfortunately, right now, there’s no indication that Chevy will bring this awesome pickup truck to the US. The price is not yet officially available, but we assume that it should be in the range from $25,000 to around $30,000.
If this model somehow touches the US. soil, it will go against models like the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz. Stay tuned with us because we expect more information in the coming months.
