The forthcoming 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison has been finally teased ahead of its full revel in summer. The manufacturer released a short video clip, showing a bit of design of the ZR2 Bison off-road variant. As we can see, the new pickup truck featuring attractive front lights, underbody protection, and off-road-oriented parts including wheels.
Compared with the regular ZR2 version, it appears Bison have a more aggressive look, thanks to many modifications. However, since it doesn’t include any performance upgrades, the Silverado ZR2 Bison uses the same proved 6.2-liter V-8 powertrain, which is capable of producing 420 horsepower.

The teased video of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bisonn reveal not so much details about the upcoming truck. The approximately 30-second video shows Bison-equipped with the new front lights. Also, compared with the regular version, it appears Bison have a different set of fog lights in the lower bumper.
Furthermore, the teased pickup has a unique steel bumper and AEV-badged 33-inch all-terrain tires. We also noticed a tracking skid plates underneath the truck, which is another hallmark of the Bison treatment. The new edition could also introduce a spacial overfenders and a steel rear bumper.
Stylish Interior
Inside, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison looks way more stylish than the regular pickup. In general, it offers the same comfort and enough room for up to five passengers. However, unlike the regular model, the Bison package brings more comfortable seats, which are leather stitched. It also features a huge horizontally oriented 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 12.3-inch fully digital instrument panel that is standard on Silverado ZR2.
Besides, we expect as standard as well wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa and features built-in Google voice assistance, maps, and more. It is worth mentioning that every Silverado has excellent suite of standard driver-assistance technology. It includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and automated emergency braking.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison Engine Specs
Just like the regular Silverado ZR2, the Bison version uses the same engine. As we mentioned, under the hood is a 6.2-liter V-8 powertrain, which makes 420 horsepower. It comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and to four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case and electronic-locking front and rear differentials. This engine is the only option unfortunately, while many of ZR2 Bison rivals offering two or even three engine options.
According to Chevrolet, the new Bison with a conventional trailer hitch can tow up to 8900 pounds. It can also handle a payload of up to 1440 pounds.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison Release Date, Price
From what we know, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bison will be fully unveiled this summer, while sales should start immediately after. The pricing is unfortunately still unknown, but we expect it to cost about $76,000.
As we said, the new Bison model will different from the regular ZR2 in many things. It will be more aggressive, and it will include underbody protection, and many off-road-oriented parts, which should make it more unique.
