The upcoming 2024 Ford Super Duty has been spotted testing again, and it is unfortunately covered with heavy camo. However, judging by the latest spy shots, the forthcoming model will receive some improvements, including bigger headlights, bed steps, and a more attractive grille. Anyway, the new truck won’t deviate too much from the current model.
Interestingly, the photographers also captured the interior of the upcoming truck, and it looks modern, featuring a new instrument cluster and center touchscreen, too. It appears that the touchscreen is larger than the previous eight-inch unit, which indicates that the spied prototype might have the upper trim.
Is Ford Redesigning the Super Duty?
It seems that the new 2024 Ford Duper Duty will only receive a mid-cycle refresh. Judging by the latest spy shots, the forthcoming truck will introduce new and bigger lights, bed steps, stylish black wheels, and a more attractive front end. Interestingly, it bears some influence from the Ford Maverick and the redesigned next-generation Ford Ranger. A similar split-twin-bar grille and C-clamp headlights are present.
Despite those changes, the Ford Super Duty won’t deviate too much from the current model. Basically, everything else remains the same on the front, while on the other hand, the rear end shows off a new taillight design.
In-Car Technology and Connectivity
The interior of the 2024 Ford Super Duty is a step up compared to the outgoing one. Even the regular model offers modern and ergonomic environments, featuring high-quality materials. We recommend stepping up to the Lariat trim level, which has leather-trimmed upholstery, ambient lighting, heated and cooled front seats, and wireless charging.
The premium King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited models, on the other hand, unlock features that none of the Super Duty rivals have. The XLT, as the entry-level model, includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. However, all upper trims come with a larger 12.0-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 software. The upper trims also include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
2024 Ford Super Duty Engine Option
From the information that we got, the 2024 Ford Super Duty could retain its current lineup of both gasoline and diesel engines. There is also the possibility of a hybrid model or even a plug-in. It is worth mentioning that the current truck is powered by a potent 6.2-liter engine that delivers a great amount of power. You can also get a more powerful 7.3-liter V8 or a fuel-efficient turbocharged 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine.
Towing Capacity
With a variety of cab and cargo bed configurations, the latest 2024 Super Duty offers a wide range of max towing and payload capacities. The strongest Super Duty can haul a 7850-pound payload, and it is able to pull 24,200 pounds with a conventional trailer hitch. However, with the fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitch, this truck can tow an amazing capacity of 37,000 pounds.
2024 Ford Super Duty Price, Release Date
At the moment, we don’t know when or how much the new 2024 Ford Super Duty will cost. The price will probably be slightly higher than before, considering the added mild upgrades.
The current Ford Super Duty starts at $40,000 for the XL trim, while the XLT is $46,000, Lariat $54,000, King Ranch $68,000, Platinum $71,500, and the most expensive Limited more than $90,000. We’re expecting a new truck to come sometime in 2023 as a 2024 model.
