If Blue Oval company knows how to do anything, it’s to build excellent trucks. That describes the upcoming 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty, which will arrive sometime next year. Unlike other competitors, this truck offers rugged styling, class-leading towing, and payload ratings. It also comes with an array of trim levels, cab styles, and engine choices. Whether you need it for either everyday use or work, this truck is an ideal option.
For 2024, Ford will make some changes and the new F-250 should be better than before. This means we can expect plenty of options and more horsepower as well.
Is Ford Redesigning the F-250 for 2024?
Just like the model before, the forthcoming 2024 Ford F-250 will share many design cues with the smaller F-150 truck. Anyway, the design of this truck will change a bit depending on trim level and packages. The XL model, which is standard, is available with 17-inch wheels, while the upper trim XLT offers larger 18-inch alloy wheels.
We generally like a relatively new Sport Appearance Package, which makes this truck more appealing thanks to a modified grille, and some body changes. A Black Appearance package, which is available starting on the XLT variant adds many black details, including wheels, grille, and much more.
Significant Overhaul Inside
The new 2024 Ford F-250 truck will get a significant overhaul over the previous model. However, it will continue to be offered with the same cab choices. For those who may not know, Blue Oval offers three cab setups, of which a crew cab is a favorite because it is the most spacious. For 2024, we heard that Ford will make the interior more pleasant thanks to many customizations.
So, expect the new truck to come with more standard equipment, which is logical. Additionally, we’re also expecting to see an updated infotainment system and some of the new driver-assistance technologies.
2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty Engine Improvements
For 2024, the manufacturer will reportedly make some mapping on the current engines, which should result in more power and better fuel economy. The current unit is a 6.2-liter V8 making 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. However, from the information that we got, expect at least 400 horsepower with the new one.
Just like before, this base engine uses a 6-speed automatic transmission. The gargantuan gasoline engine comes optional and it consists of a 7.3-liter V8 generating 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Ford will also be mapping this engine, and you should expect at least 450 horses.
The most powered option is a Power Stroke turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel V8, developing 450 horsepower and a stunning 1,050 lb-ft of torque. In general, we’re expecting the diesel variant to produce the same output as the new one. Both of the engines above will likely use a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. Just like before, the rear-wheel-drive is standard on lower trims, while all-wheel drive is optional or standard with King Ranch and Platinum trims.
2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty Price, Release Date
The most affordable Super Duty truck is a rear-drive F-250 with a Regular cab. This model is powered by a potent 6.2-liter V8, and it starts at $36,500, plus a destination charge. From there, you can jump to F-350 Crew Cab in Limited trim with dual rear wheels, which costs $89,500.
Models that range in the same pricing line are Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD, and Ram HD trucks. Judging from many reports, the sales of the new truck will begin at some point next year, probably in the summertime.
