Besides regular model, the manufacturer will also introduce entirely new models such as the off-road-themed AT4X and opulent Denali Ultimate. The GMC Sierra will be available with a turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6, a 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. From what we heard, GMC tuned a turbo 4-cylinder engine to produce significantly more torque than before.
2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Exterior Redesign
The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 will get a makeover for the following year. This truck looks refreshed and is in the same class with models like the Ram 1500, Ford F-150, and Toyota Tundra. For 2023, GMC tweaked the front grille, the front bumper, and added new LED headlights. Thanks to all above, the freshened Sierra 1500 comes with a more modernized face.

At the top of the Sierra lineup is the Denali Ultimate that offers a premium cabin with plenty of advanced technology. Engine Specs, Towing Capacity
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is available with a turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder that produces 310 horsepower. This engine comes standard, and it delivers significantly more torque than before. The next one is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6, developing 277 horses. Alongside, the manufacturer also offers as an optional 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horses, and a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 hp.
With its recent upgrade, the turbodiesel comes with increased towing of 13,200 pounds (up from 9,200 pounds, this powertrain’s previous max tow rating). The inline-4 uses an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the other engines are available with a 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive comes standard on most models, while 4-wheel drive (4WD) is optional and standard on the Denali, Denali Ultimate, and off-road trim models.
How Much Will Cost the 2023 GMC Sierra?
We expect the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 to carry a starting price of approximately $33,000. This would be the price for the entry-level Pro trim. The new truck will be reportedly available with eight primary trims. There should be a Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, Denali, AT4X, and Denali Ultimate trims.
The newly added AT4X starts at $75,000, while the top-of-the-line Denali Ultimate is around $81,000. According to the manufacturer, all models will go on sale in the summer of 2022.
