The new 2023 Ford Super Duty trucks are coming, and the latest spy shots confirm exactly that claim. The first model that is caught testing recently on the roads of Detroit, the Ford F- 350 Super Duty, looks refreshed, featuring some upgrades. As far as we can see, beneath the heavy camo, there is a completely new front end with more attractive grille and better-shaped headlights. Besides the fresh new front end, we can also expect more modern interior with plenty of standard features.
In terms of performance, the Ford Super Duty trucks will be available with either a diesel or gasoline engine. As standard, the manufacturer offers a 7.3-liter V8 petrol, while as optional, you can get a turbodiesel 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel wit up to 1050 lb.-ft of torque.
2023 Ford Super Duty Redesign
At first glance at the spied 2023 Ford Super Duty, we noticed some exterior upgrades. Blue Oval has been obviously changed the front end of this truck to stand out from the other models in the class. As far as we can see, the new truck comes with a refreshed grille and headlights that are similar as we saw on the latest Raptor model.
The base XL will probably roll on the same 17-inch steel wheels, while 18-inch alloy wheels are available on upper trims like the XLT. Lariat trim is offered with a new Sport Appearance package, which should make this truck more attractive. It includes sportier grille, side mirror housings, and bumpers in the same color as the body.
Tremor Off-Road Package
The new 2023 Super Duty offers the Tremor package which is more extreme than the FX4 Off-Road package. The model that wears the Tremor package includes specialized suspension, 35-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires, locking rear differential, and Trail Control.
2023 Ford Super Duty Offers More Standard Equipment
On the inside, the 2023 Ford Super Duty will be no less modern than its lighter sibling F-150 model. Nevertheless, this truck is very comfortable offering a roomy cabin for all the passengers. On top of that, there’s plenty of storages on each model. Considering that there is no available spy photo inside, we heard many rumors about the cabin upgrades. First of all, expect the center console to match the same quality as on the half-ton F-150. The entry-level XL trim will offer more standard equipment for sure, so expect at least dual-zone air conditioning, vinyl flooring and upholstery, updated 8- inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, satellite radio, navigation, and an 8-inch infotainment screen.
Moreover, choosing the Limited trim, you’ll get even more equipment. This trim includes massaging multi-contour front seats, dual-pane moonroof, dark ash wood trim, extended leather upholstery, and much more. As for the safety, it will be better for sure. The current Super Duty Truck comes with automatic on/off headlights, hill start assists, and an SOS post-crash alert system.
Engine Specs
The 2023 Ford Super Duty trucks as we mentioned are powered by two different engines. There is one gasoline and one diesel engine. As standard, the gasoline engine consists of a 7.3-liter V8 petrol unit producing 430 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft of torque. If you dint know, this gasoline unit is currently one of the most powerful in class.
Alongside, the manufacturer also offers an optional turbodiesel 6.7-liter Power Stroke unit. Unlike the first one, this engine is more powerful, delivering 475 horsepower and up to 1050 lb.-ft of torque. Thanks to that, the Ford Super Duty trucks can tow up to 37,000 pounds.
2023 Ford Super Duty Release Date and Price
The first spy shots of the upcoming 2023 Ford Super Duty are available, and we must admit, the new truck looks more attractive than before. It features a completely new front fascia and some mild changes on the back as well. Blue Oval also stated recently that the new Ford Super Duty will receive more modern cabin and plenty of standard equipment. As for pricing, the most affordable is the Super Duty F-250 that cost less than $37,000. However, if you go for F-350 Crew Cab in top Limited trim with dual rear wheels, expect price to be around $90,000.
In the same class are many models that are more affordable than the Ford Super Duty, but only few of them can rival this truck. The most closest competitors are the Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD, and Ram HD trucks.
