The 2024 Toyota Hilux has been finally rendered, featuring the same design language as we saw on the recently introduced Land Cruiser model. Just like the LC300 and third-gen Tundra, the brand-new model will sit on the same modern body-on-frame architecture known as the TNGA-F.
Besides the attractive new design, we also have renderings of its interior as well. The new truck comes with a similar touchscreen, instrument cluster, shift knob, center console, and dashboard as the Land Cruiser 300 model. The Japanese automaker will reportedly introduce the new pickup truck sometime next year, while sales should start just after.
2024 Toyota Hilux Facelift
Thanks to a new rendering, we have a great look at what changes the new 2024 Toyota Hilux may receive. First of all, the new truck is sitting on the modern body-on-frame architecture known as the TNGA-F. The same platform is used on the models Land Cruiser and the Toyota Tundra.
Overall, the design is interesting and the Toyota Hilux looks almost identical to the Land Cruiser. It features the same front-end styling with an attractive grille, eye-catchy LED headlights, and stylish wheels. We also noticed some changes on the rear including a much cooler taillight and the same short bed.
Interior Changes
The first renderings on the inside of the 2024 Toyota Hilux are available as well, and we must admit, the new truck is a step up compared to the outgoing one. First and foremost, the design is updated but the same layout remains. As before, this truck offers enough room for up to five passengers.
Anyway, the renderings reveal an interior with a similar touchscreen we saw in the Land Cruiser, as well as an instrument cluster, shift knob, center console, and dashboard. We also expect to see dual-zone air conditioning and phone connectivity such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Lastly, Toyota claims that the new pickup truck will get more driver-assistance aids as well.
2024 Toyota Hilux Engine Specs
The standard 2024 Toyota Hilux will be powered by a potent 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 308 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. This is a significant jump, compared to the current model that makes 175 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of twisting power. New for 2024 is a hybrid model in combination with an electric motor.
This mild-hybrid system will reportedly produce more than 200 horses, providing higher fuel efficiency. Considering that the new Tacoma and Tundra models are coming all-electric, we’re also expecting the same to happen with the Hilux in near future.
How Much the New 2024 Toyota Hilux Will Cost?
From many reports, the new 2024 Toyota Hilux will start at about $30,000, which is a thousand dollars more than before. A hybrid model will cost slightly more, we assume around $35,000, while the GR variant should be even more expensive.
As for debut, we can expect the newly redesigned pickup truck model to appear next summer, according to the latest rumors. The upcoming Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, and Isuzu D-Max are the closest rivals to the Toyota Hilux.
