Under the hood, this amazing pickup truck will most likely arrive unchanged. Like the previous generation, the new 2023 Toyota Tacoma will use the same two engine options. The first one is a standard 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces a modest 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. Power from this unit can be routed to the rear wheels (2WD) or all four (4WD) optionally via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
A much better option is the 3.5-liter V6 that provides around 120 more horses or a total of 278 horsepower. Unlike the first one, this unit comes with a significant boost in torque 265 lb-ft. However, it delivers almost identical fuel-economy figures as the smaller 4-cylinder. As far as we know, with this engine, you can choose between the 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmission.

The forthcoming 2023 Toyota Tacoma will most likely arrive next year in the summertime. From the information that we got, the new pickup will cost significantly more than the current generation, which makes perfect sense. The upcoming truck will be redesigned, and it will feature more equipment than ever.
Anyway, the TRD Pro model is also expected to be offered as well, but not at the same time as the regular one. Like the new Tacoma mid-size pickup truck will be assembled in a Mexico factory alongside the Yaris model.
